Lyo Lyimo

Lyo is a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist whose passion for the human body was born from personal injury.

After suffering 2 bulging discs and sciatic pain several years ago, his doctor advised consultation with a spinal surgeon.

Not satisfied with this advice, Lyo embarked on a quest to heal his body through conservative measures; education, treatment & exercise – leaving no stone unturned in the process.

After an extensive learning process about the body’s fascial system, biomechanics & applying some of these principles to his training program, Lyo was able to identify and correct his disfunction and ultimately be pain free ever since.

This firsthand experience lead Lyo to studying Remedial Massage and consequently together with his commitment to finding answers, Lyo’s approach to treatment is just as thorough; with a desire to educate clients further about the human body, exercise and rehab.

Lyo specialises in Melbourne Muscular Therapies signature deep tissue treatment philosophy to treat the source of the disfunction.

Lyo has a sporting background that started in his junior years playing representative level junior basketball for Melbourne Tigers and now currently plays in a division 1 mens competition.

Lyo also enjoys sprinting and is currently training at Box Hill Athletics Club, specialising in the 100 & 200meters.

Lyo draws from his ancestral roots in Tanzania & Armenia in adopting a lifestyle of health and fitness that is holistic in nature.
