FAQ's
Wrist pain commonly comes from overuse of muscles in the forearm and upper arm, referred pain from dysfunctional muscles further up the arm, shoulder, or chest, previous injury to the wrist or hand, or occupational injuries from repetitive work. Your practitioner will identify the exact cause before treating.
Rest, compression, and heat are the starting points. Direct myofascial treatment to the site using your thumbs, fingers, a lacrosse ball, foam roller, or barbell can provide immediate relief. Once acute pain settles, strengthening the forearm and addressing the broader kinetic chain prevents recurrence.
Heat and compression onto the site is recommended for most wrist pain cases. Heat increases blood flow and accelerates tissue healing. Ice is generally reserved for acute traumatic injuries with significant swelling in the first 24–48 hours.
Understand why your wrist pain is occurring. Are you repetitively overusing it at work or in the gym? Have you suffered a previous injury? Identifying the cause shapes the treatment. Combine deep tissue massage to the forearm, upper arm, shoulder, and chest with targeted strengthening for lasting results.
